Fare Thee Well General

       People viewing his body

The road is never long as it seems, we create the blinding fold to our visions.
Exactly 12 months ago you made me taste the fruits of defeat in my life endeavors at the Multimedia University of Kenya. 31 days ago you and I met along Kirunga avenue and you invited me over to discuss our political ambitions, our promises to the course of results and the realism of poverty to the generation of the present over Nyama Choma in Kiserian.
Last Tuesday but one I waved at you from a distance as I rushed from a meeting with a co director at TYI Ltd.

All the roads are leading to Kakamega County for the 5th devolution conference expected to be officially opened by H.E Uhuru Kenyatta today

Kenyans are happy with the devolution however they complain of governors and MCAs who focus on the wrong priorities. For instance we have counties that annually affected by drought and floods but five years down the line nothing has been done.

Anniversary Towers has really become a center of attraction of over the last few days. Not because it is being pelted by rioting University of Nairobi students demanding the disbursement of HELB loans, not because it the set venue for Rick Ross’ mega concert; but because it is housing the IEBC headquarters, where all sorts of drama has been emanating.

Good Bye IEBC

When a person in a river tells you he has steped  on a fish why doubt him and yet your are seated on the shores of the same river?

Dr Roselyne Akombe resigned from the IEBC a week to the 26th October repeat presidential election  last year.

In her resignation letter to IEBC and kenyans Dr Akombe stated that she could not participate in a sham election. She went ahead and said that the IEBC could not give Kenyans a credible elections since some of the commissioners were partisan.

The Power of the Handshake

The remaining IEBC commissioners led by their Chairman Mr Wafula Chebukati want to be given time to complete their term.

Youths should take the advantage they have

When you first meet him  at his place of work as a security personnel in one of the local schools in Korogocho you cant notice that the person serving you at the gate is a pupil.

Mr David Mwange aged 53 years and a father of four is a pupil in a Gumbaru school at PEFA church in Korogocho.

"Whe we started we use to meet at the Chief's camp before we were moved to PEFA Church next to St John Catholic Church."the jovial old man opened to us.

I decided to go back to school so that i can cope up with the latest trends in the world.

"With the main use of computers and phones in our daily activities education is the only tool that can help you operate them" said Mr Mwange.

My first born son completed form four last year, the second born son is in form three and the last two who happens to be twins are in class seven the same class am in.

"When I get home I enjoy talking English with my twins now that we are in the same class"narrated Mwange.

As first term is coming to an end have not attended school this term since our teacher has not been around.

"The team in charge of Gumbaru should look into this issue personally I have thirst for education. We are about ten in our class" said Mwange

I experience a lot of challenges now that I have to balance between work and studying.Don't forget the parental obligations too.

"I have plans to get to secondary and even join a tertiary institution to study Administration and Management.I want to be a chief" added Mwange.

Education is the key to success.
